Worker's accident compensation insurance ( ????????? , r? d ? sha saigai hosh? hoken ) is a government insurance program in Japan. It benefits the worker (or survivor) if the insured worker is sustained by injury, illness, or death due to circumstances related to his duties or travel-related travel. Coverage
All companies employing workers must provide this coverage. The employer bears the burden of paying the premium, the worker is not responsible for the payment.

Premium
As of April 2012, the maximum premium rate is 10.3% (for construction works and the like) and a minimum of 0.3% (for most administrative jobs). 0.005% is added to the above premium to fund the benefits for asbestos-induced diseases. For example, for an office worker who gets 250,000 yen per month, the premium the employer pays is about 750 yen.
Benefits
Benefits are payable for any illness, injury, disability or death that occurs as a result of an accident caused by work or while traveling.
Medical Benefits Compensation
As long as the injured worker visits the designated hospital for care, they do not have to pay any fees, everything will be covered by the insurance. If they visit an unspecified hospital, they will be charged as usual but can receive a refund later. Fees for home and transport medical care are also covered.
Missing Wages Benefits
From the fourth day of missed work and so on, insurance accounts for two-thirds of the lost worker's income. This is for workers who leave unpaid leave.
Pensions Compensation for Illness or Injury
If a worker has not recovered within 18 months, they may be eligible to receive this pension.
Disability Retirement Benefits
When disability persists after treatment, workers may be eligible to receive this pension. There are 14 disability levels covering about 140 types of disabilities. Workers will accept payment as lump sum or pension depending on their circumstances.
The Tired Family Compensation Benefit
This is given to family members who are financially supported by a worker who has died from an occupational accident.
Benefits of Nursing Care Compensation
This is given to those who receive the Disease or pension of injury compensation or disability retirement benefits that also meet certain other requirements.
Funeral Cost Benefits
This partially covers the funeral costs of a deceased worker
Secondary Inspection Compensation Plan Benefit
Includes routine medical examination fees, if this is deemed necessary.
