Careers

Initial work

Chaplin made his debut in the Salon with portraits, but he also painted landscapes, particularly the Auvergne countryside. His earlier work, from 1848 to 1851, was painted in a more realistic style, and is characterized by an interest in realism, which is a style that has been rebuilt in France by the Second Republic of France, which has the motto of LibertÃÆ'ÃÆ' ©, ÃÆ'  © galitÃÆ'  ©, fraternità ©  © , and was ruled for three years by the French republican government from the 1848 Revolution until the 1851 coup by Louis-NapolÃÆ' on Bonaparte. Realism is an artistic movement that began in France in the 1850s, after the Revolution of 1848. Since the late 18th century, Romanticism dominated French art and literature but was rejected by the Realists, who rebelled against the emotional display of the Romantic movement, seeking to describe individuals and situations a real and distinctive contemporary with truth and accuracy.

Chaplin painted many works in his early days, including a study of flowers on display at Salon de las Flores. Later, in the late 1850s, he abandoned naturalism, his early style, exchanged it with a more elegant, elegant and flexible technique that made him famous in France in his time as a portrait painter; hence he embraced the eminent, exuberant and fashionable French painter, FranÃÆ'§ois Boucher (1703-1770).

He also embraced the traditions of the great British painters. He developed his own style of painting but was inspired by British painters Joshua Reynolds and Thomas Gainsborough. He used to carve the works of Dutch artist Pieter Paul Rubens and get more influence from his work.

Later work

Gradually the muddy colors used by Chaplin turned white, gray and pink, depicting the model with a coral skin, mother-of-pearl by applying a delicate palette of red and light gray tones. After portraiture and attempting his skills on ornamental paintings, Chaplin took a genre painting in the 1850s. His favorite subject is the feminine grace of everyday life of a young woman. She describes women in several poses: resting; grooming; song; and reading. He captures them with lightness and carelessness and accentuates the elements of decorative composition.

Empress Eugene, Napoleon III's wife and admirer of "Pompadour style", quickly fell under the charm of the painter's neo-Rococo masterpiece. Chaplin is one of the favorite court artists of Napoleon III and Empress Eugà © nie. In 1859, when his portrait of Aurora was banned by Salon judges as "too erotic suggestive", NapolÃÆ' © at III defended Chaplin and canceled the disqualification order. He is equally rewarded as an interior decorator and appointed to overhaul the decoration of Eugene's queen room.

Her sensual image of women and young girls, often with erotic models displayed in foggy surroundings and often wearing transparent clothing, attracted the upper class and Parisian aristocracy during the Third Republic of France (1870-1940) that guaranteed her success and wealth. He was one of the most popular painters of his time, but today his work is almost unknown, despite the fact that his work hangs in many major museums around the world.

He also did the job of decorating in the Salon de l'HÃÆ' © © salon of the Palais de l'ElysÃÆ'Â © e.
