Sinopsis

The press found that Saber's printer was on fire, and CEO Jo Bennett (Kathy Bates) came into the office in the hope of finding out who the rapporteur was. Everyone suspected Andy (Ed Helms), who firmly denied he leaked information, even though he was the first one in the office to learn it. Jo has Nick (Nelson Franklin), the IT guy, checks everyone's computer to find evidence of potential leakage, and he is constantly harassed while trying to do so. Jo and Gabe (Zach Woods) interviewed everyone as well to discover potential leaks, beginning with Michael (Steve Carell). Even though Michael showed some very violent treatment against the offender, proving that he was innocent of Jo, he insisted that no one in the office would leak the information.

During the interview, Dwight (Rainn Wilson) enters and gives Jo a long list of the people he has to fire to convince him that it's not him. Jo trusts him and recommends that he invest the money he earns this year in real estate. After much deliberation, Dwight decides to try to buy Scranton Business Park, and advises in a conversation with Hank (Hugh Dane) the security guard that he will implement major changes to the place.

While Michael tried to make Andy confess he told the press. When Andy points out that Darryl (Craig Robinson) can become a whistleblower, Michael confronts him. Darryl admits he told a female reporter at the bar after working on a burning tape printer. Pam (Jenna Fischer) volunteered to confess to Michael that she was telling another mother at a daycare center whose husband is a journalist. She asks him and Darryl to meet him in the parking lot. Kelly (Mindy Kaling) joined them as she revealed the news on her various social networking sites. All three advise Michael that he should try to talk to Jo about the situation so they can confess but defend their work.

Michael tries to convince Jo to let the offenders feel lightly causing him to suspect that he knows the identity of the leak. Michael refuses to say anything, so Jo takes him to the hangar with his private jet to talk to him about his problems. Michael acknowledged the many pressures he experienced throughout the year, including the loss of Holly. Jo said that even though she had to make a recall to the printer, she hated the thought of having to make a public apology, fearing it was all she would remember after she died. Michael, who has been enjoying media attention over printers so much that he asks other employees to artificially raise the web counters in his TV venues, offering to make a public apology for him.

Back at the office, Gabe finished interviewing everyone and concluded that Andy was the one who talked to the press. Jim (John Krasinski) defends Andy, and the office descends into haphazard whistleblower identity speculation. Former CFO David Wallace (Andy Buckley) revealed himself as another leak when he heard about it from a former client and then told his former other clients and potential clients out of spite. Nick announces that he stopped to teach kids downtown in Detroit how to use a computer. When Dwight and others taunted him, Nick exploded and revealed personal computer information about many employees, including the Andy QuickTime video he took with Darryl and the mail/mail he sent to the local newspaper. Some employees who did not divulge information to the press went on to mock Andy for the rest of the day. However, Erin (Ellie Kemper) praises Andy's courage, and she leaves with a smile.

Michael gives a public apology to the news crew, after which Jo tells him to let him know if he can help with his problems. When Michael half-jokingly asks to bring Holly back to Scranton, Jo sincerely tells him that he will check it out, making him lose his words when the episode ends.

"James Poniewozik of Time criticizes the show for lack of Stakes during the season, but states" The end of the season, 'Whistleblower', in some ways characteristic of this season, in that some of the best moments come from characters on the periphery of the story.
