"Breakin 'in Broken Hearts New " is a popular song written by Howard Greenfield and Jack Keller. It was recorded by Connie Francis on October 18, 1960, a New York City session held and organized by Stan Applebaum; the same session produced "Where the Boys Are" that "Breakin 'in the New Broken Heart Brand" was released as a follow-up single in April 1961, reaching the Top 10 in May with Billboard Hot 100 peak of # 7 (# 5 in Cash Box Pop 100).

Although "Breakin 'in the New Broken Heart" is the seventh consecutive Francis A to reach the Top 10 - and the Top 11 overall - the single marks its popularity, while Francis' previous eight singles have both A and B-side maps, single B-side "Somebody Else's Boy" was ignored in the United States despite being an international success for Francis through a recording version in eight languages.

In the UK, "Breakin 'in the New Broken Heart" reached # 12 in June 1961; the tracks reached the Top 10 in Australia (# 8) and New Zealand (# 2) in July and in September 1961 reached # 7 in the Netherlands with the Top 10 ranking in India in December. Also in 1961, rendering Francis in Italian as "La Valle Senzo Eco" ("The Valley without an echo") was the top 10 hit in Italy - # 9 that October - and the same year while the version in soumi: "ÃÆ'â € ž sken sÃÆ'¤rkyi sydÃÆ'¤meni ", cut by Marjatta LeppÃÆ'¤nen (fi) for release in Finland.

As Fransiskus' previous Greenfield/Keller-write hit "Everybody's Somebody's Fool", "Breakin 'in Broken Hearts New" exemplifies pop country sound and while unlike "Everybody's Somebody's Fool", "Breakin' in the New Heart Fracture" instead of C & amp; W crossover for Francis own early songs entering the C & amp; W through cover by Wilburn Brothers on their 1962 album City Limits . 1

In 1978, Margo Smith re-made the song for her Do not Break the Heart That Loves You whose title was cut, remake of Francis' 1961 # 1 hit, has become the # 1 hit C & W. "Breakin 'in the New Broken Heart" is single # 25 C & amp; W in 1979 for Debby Boone whose precedent was also a remake of Francis Connie's hit, in particular "My Own Mind Self" (# 11 C & amp; W); both songs are featured on the album Debby Boone . In 1980, Boone will try a remake of Connie Francis's third version of "Everybody's Somebody's Fool" which will fail to reach C & amp; W Top 40 at # 48.

A German rendering of the song: "Das kommt davon...", was recorded in 1961 by Gitte. Elda Viler (sl) recorded Slovenian render "Dolina Brez Odmeva" in 1964 and also recorded "La Valle Senzo Eco" in 1965.
