From 1903 to 1908, Levitt wrote an automotive column for The Graphic , a pictorial weekly newspaper, a series that became the basis of The Woman and the Car . The Levitt guidebook is not the first targeted at women motorcyclists - British writer Eliza Davis Aria has published Women and Motorcar: Becoming an Automobilist Autobiography in 1906 for example - but it is the most outstanding day.
