Plantation is a town in Broward County, Florida, United States. At the US Census 2010, the population was 87,496. This is the main city in the Miami metropolitan area, which is home to about 6,012,331 people at the 2015 census.

The name of the city comes from the previous land owner, Everglades Plantation Company. The plantation suffered extensive damage from Hurricane Wilma on October 24, 2005.
