Michele Bardsley is the pen name of Michele Freeman (born Michele Renee Vail on 21 January 1970 in Tulsa, Oklahoma) who is an American writer of paranormal romantic fiction and contemporary. Bardsley is a New York Times bestselling author and USA Today and has published over 40 novels, novels, short stories and articles since the publication of his first book in 1999. He wrote the paranormal fiction of young adults under Michele Vail . She lives in Texas with her husband, four dogs, and two cats.

Biography
Michele Bardsley was born and raised in Oklahoma but also has family roots in Texas and Arkansas. He is the eldest of three sisters and one brother. Bardsley's father was a marine and after proudly serving his country, he became a successful entrepreneur in the computer industry. Her mother is a housewife.
At the age of 12, Michele decided to become a writer and often wrote poetry and short stories. As a teenager, he studied at Claremore High School, where he excelled in Honors English, worked in the yearbook, and became one of several high school students to join The Tatler, Clarittore High School. His senior year he became The Tatler's Managing Editor. He moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma mid-year senior and attended Thomas A. Edison High School (now renamed Thomas Edison Preparatory School).
Michele graduated high school in 1988 as an academic letterman and attended Tulsa Junior College (now renamed Tulsa Community College), where he worked at TJC Connection (now renamed The TCC Connection) and eventually became Managing Editor. After graduating with an Associate of Liberal Arts degree, he moved to Northeastern State University. When her ex-husband's job brings their family to Las Vegas, she hands over her books for life in the desert. He works as an editor and writer for Las Vegas publishers and then e-book publishers.
He received his first publishing contract in 1998 from a pioneer electronics publisher, Hard Shell Word Factory, for his romantic comedy, Daddy In Training (not printed). He has many short stories, novels, and novels published by electronic, independent, and traditional publishers. The novel, Because Your Vampire Said So (Signet Eclipse, 2008), received 2008 RT Reviewer's Choice Award for Best Vampire Romance.
