BPS Direct, LLC (doing business like Bass Pro Shops ) is a United States private retailer hunting, fishing, camping and outdoor recreation related items. Bass Pro Shops supports and sells merchandises for the National Audubon Society.

History
The majority owner, John Morris, started his career in sporting goods with a fishing section at the back of his father's Brown Derby liquor store, located in Springfield MO on the road to Table Rock Lake and Branson, Missouri. The small fishing department that sells homemade baits and worms, proved to be popular enough that the Bass Pro Shops were founded in 1971. This homemade bait is so popular that many people want the opportunity to buy it when they return home. So, start cataloging Bass Pro Shops, first delivered in 1974. Soon, this became the world's largest mail order sports goods shop.
In 1975, to meet the growing demand for Bass Pro Shops' exclusive products, American Rod and Gun was founded. Acting as a separate wholesale entity, ARG serves more than 7,000 independently owned retail stores worldwide. In 1977, Bass Pro Shops introduced a complete package of motorboats and a complete fish trailer package with Bass Tracker. In 1984, construction began at the World Catalog Showroom in Springfield, Missouri. Big Cedar Lodge opened in 1988 at Table Rock Lake.
In 1995, Warehouse Bass Pro Shops Sportsman opened in Atlanta, Georgia, its first store outside of the state of Missouri. In November 2001, taking advantage of the popularity of the Outer World as a tourist destination, the Museum of Wildlife Miracles opened next door to a store in Springfield. The Wonders of Wildlife Museum & amp; The aquarium is closed for renovation in 2007. As of October 2016 it still closes with expected reopening at the end of the year. Bass Pro Shops has announced that the reopening of the Wildlife Miracle museum will take place on 21 September 2017.
In 2015, Bass Pro Shops opens stores inside Memphis Pyramid, a former sports arena and concert venue in Memphis, Tennessee. In addition to the retail store itself, it has two restaurants, a bowling alley, a 100-room hotel, an observation deck, and the highest free-standing lift in America. At 535,000 square feet, The Pyramid is the largest store of Bass Pro.
In October 2016, Bass Pro Shops announced that it had reached an agreement to acquire Cabela's $ 5.5 billion contender. Agreements are being financed through preferred equity financing from Goldman Sachs and Pamplona. Goldman Sachs will contribute $ 1.8 billion for financing and Pamplona will donate the rest for a total commitment of $ 2.4 billion. [13] This new entity is expected to be formed and operational in Q1 or Q2 2017. The new entity will retain the Cabela base in Sidney and Lincoln, Nebraska. Morris will continue to be the CEO of the new entity. He will also be the majority shareholder of a new private entity. Tommy Milner stressed that the company has reviewed various options that will maximize value, with the board choosing to go the route from the Bass Pro Shops.

In 1978, Bass Pro Shops introduced Bass Tracker boats, produced by Tracker Marine Group. Brands include Tracker Boats, Nitro, Sun Tracker, Tahoe, Fisher, ProCraft, Kenner, Mako Myacht, and SeaCraft. These boats are sold in showrooms attached to every Bass Pro Shops store, on stand-alone Tracker dealers, and to independent marine dealers across the United States. All Tracker Marine Group vessels are manufactured in many factories in southern Missouri. More than 400,000 people have purchased Tracker vessels since 1978.

Bass Pro Shops has 94 stores in the United States and Canada. Store sizes range from 20,000 square feet (1,900 m 2 ) to 535,000 square feet (49,700 m 2 ). The top seed stores are known as World Outdoor stores. The decor of the shops including your taxidans rides the natives to the local area. All shops have an indoor water feature featuring fish species originating from the area. Fish in their tanks are big game fish. In some of these aquariums, professional anglers and pro-staff stores hold demonstrations that show the use of artificial baits. They catch fish in this tank to show how well the bait works. Bass Pro Shops are also known for their Outside Skills Workshops, diverse teaching skills such as fishing, Dutch oven cooking, archery hunting with various archery in store, and GPS navigation. They hold many skills workshops with top names in the outside world.
The Rancho Cucamonga, California Outdoor World store is used for exterior shots from the fictitious "Outside Man" store in ABC's Last Man Standing sitcom, starring Tim Allen, which airs in 2011. The camera crew also visit the store several times to film the interior shots.

Uncle Fishbowl and Fake Grills
San Jose, CA, Bridgeport, CT, Tsawwassen, BC, Harlingen, TX, Round Rock, TX, Bristol, TN, Memphis, TN and Tacoma WA Outdoor World has the first feature for Bass Pro Shops: 12 lane bowling lane. This project works with Brunswick Bowling & amp; Billiards. In addition to bowling, it offers a full-service restaurant and world-class billiards and billiard pool in the Black Widow billiard room. The 15,000 square foot underwater facility (1,400 m 2 ) is connected to the Bass Pro Shops, but has a separate entrance to accommodate late night diners and bowlers.
NRA National Sporting Arms Museum
After nearly a decade of work by the NRA and Bass Pro Shops, the NRA National Sporting Arms Museum opened in the main store in Springfield, Missouri on August 2, 2013. It featured nearly 1,000 sports artifacts from the 1600s to the present day, including some historically weapons significant fire from the NRA Museum Collection. The museum will host firearms and artwork from a collection of Remington Arms Company factories, a collection of millions of dollars of US military weapons, engraved Colt revolvers from the American border, Annie Oakley weapons and US Presidential firearms such as Teddy Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower.
Affiliation with NASCAR
Bass Pro Shops and its owner, John Morris, have long been interested in NASCAR racing. The company has sponsored racers such as Dale Earnhardt, Kerry Earnhardt, and Martin Truex Jr. Truex won the 2004 and 2005 Busch Series championships at Chevy No. 4. 8 Bass Pro Shops are sponsored, and drive a Chevy No. 1 for Earnhardt Ganassi Racing in the Sprint Cup series from 2005 to 2009. He earned his first win at Dover International Speedway and finished 11th in Chase for Nextel Cup in 2007. While Truex, Jr. renewed with Bass Pro Shops as its main sponsor for three years in 2007. In 2009, he announced he would leave Earnhardt Ganassi Racing for Michael Waltrip Racing in 2010. Jamie McMurray, former driver of Roush Fenway Racing Crown and Royal Ford Fusion from Joplin , MO (about 60 miles away from the national headquarters in Springfield), replacing Truex, Jr. for the 2010 season.
McMurray won the 2010 Daytona 500 in his first race at Chevrolet sponsored by Bass Pro Shops. He followed it by winning the 2010 Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis, making it the 3rd rider to win both races in the same season. He also won the 2010 Bank of America 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
In Xfinity Series, Bass Pro Shops are the main sponsor for the No. 1 car. 3 driven by Ty Dillon. Also in the Truck Series, Bass Pro Shops sponsors the No. 1 truck. 32 driven by Ryan Truex.
Beginning with the 2013 season, Bass Pro Shops signed a multi-year agreement to become the main sponsor for No. 1. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing The Chevrolet SS is powered by three times the Sprint Cup Champion Tony Stewart.
Bass Pro Shops reunited with Martin Truex Jr. in 2016 to become the main sponsor of the No. car. 78 Sprint Cup Furniture Row at the Daytona 500 and eight more races during the 2016 season. In 2017, Truex won its first Cup championship, with Bass Pro Shops as its sponsor.
Also in 2016, Bass Pro Shops became the main sponsor of the August race at Bristol Motor Speedway, one of the most iconic shows at NASCAR. This event is now known as NRA Night Race Bass Pro Shops.
In the 2005 Disney movie Herbie: Fully Loaded , Bass Pro Shops is one of two main sponsors of Ray Peyton Jr. (the other is Tracker Boats owned by Bass Pro Shops) Herbie also later received a Pro Bass Sticker shop on his left left fender.
